I did a stress test on my network tonight. The results? Excellent! and better than I expected. I have AT&T DSL 3.0mbs download and 384kbps up. I have 6 computers running plus my network and web server. I was streaming full screen video on 5 with Joost on one of those and talking on Skype on the 6th one. The web server was running as well and everything was very smooth. Next to no glitches on video and Skype was great.

My network involves my AT&T or Bellsouth DSL modem. Next comes the Linksys 4 port cable modem/router. On the LAN side I have a D-Link 8 port 1000/100/10mbs “grean” switch. My second router is an open source Linksys. Without this hardware I would not get this good of results so do please be picky about your network hardware.
