Here is recent communication I had with them after being notified my domains annual fee was increasing to $34! This is in comparison to one of the most expensive domain registers around – Network Solutions. Now why would anyone feel the need to pay more when they can cheaper better service and other options from others? Its beyond me! With management being this stupid – I hate to say it but maybe they deserve to get bought out.
Hello Joseph,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Domains.
I understand that you are concerned regarding the Yahoo!‘s annual
domain renewal price which has been increased to $34.95 per year.
Joseph, our prices continue to offer customers the best value
proposition for our services. We remain committed to offering our
customers the most competitive pricing possible. The price increase is
necessary to continue to provide superior service to all our customers.
By providing continuous innovation and 24-7 service, Yahoo! Small
Business is committed to providing you the best possible value and
helping you succeed with your online initiatives.
Current subscribers will see the price increase reflected on the first
anniversary payment date after the price increase takes place. This
means subscribers will see the price increase reflected on their first
charge on/after July 1, 2008. Multi-year accounts will see the price
increase at the time of renewal for the current agreement. However,

Comments: You have been sending me e-mails stating I will now be charged
$35 annually for domains. I am wondering how you can expect to keep
customers when the average prices are $10. I would rather not switch but
you are forcing me to transfer all of my domains to godaddy your number
one competitor.
Guarantee in writing an under $10 fee and I may as it is I intend to do
some blogging about how stupid Yahoo is getting. Because of this I am
finding it hard to trust you in making other purchases.
